The hotel is built in a traditional Greek style and situated on a promontory overlooking the South Cretan sea. The spectacular range of the White Mountains rises to a height of over 2000 metres to the North.

Chora Sfakion (or Hora Sfakion) is the capital of the district of Sfakia., one of the wildest and most scenic regions of Crete. The village is located in beautiful surroundings and is a good starting point to explore the south coast of Crete. Chora Sfakion is laid back and very traditional. It gets busy a couple of times in the afternoon when the ferry-boat from Agia Roumeli (and the gorge of Samaria) arrives and disgorges hundreds of exhausted hikers. They generally go straight to the awaiting buses and are gone within minutes

Vritomartis hotel is a licensed naturist resort and broadly follows the guidelines laid down by the International Naturist Federation: none of the indoor areas of the hotel are naturist whilst all the outside areas are naturist from sunrise to sunset.
Naturism is required by the pool and on the beach

 

Vritomartis hotel has 180 beds in 85 beautifully appointed rooms, of which 42 are located on two floors in the main building and 43 in 9 separate bungalows. All the rooms have air conditioning, telephone and radio. It is also possible to rent a small fridge

People come and stay in our hotel for a number of different reasons and with different expectations: some want a complete break with nothing more than sun, sea and rest, others look for a little bit more to discover beyond the garden and the beach.

We are not the kind of resort which provides ALL the activities and entertainment that can be imagined. We do encourage our guests to go out and explore our beautiful region: it has so much to offer that it would be a shame to come all the way here and not see it. There is however plenty to do within the hotel boundaries
