The Phoenix Apartments are some 1,200 meters West of  Plakias on a slope above the south coast of  Crete.
The facility covers two studios, four holiday flats with one separate bedroom each, and a fifth holiday flat with two separate bedrooms. All dwelling-units have air conditioning. In front of the house there is a swimming pool. Plakias is an old fishing-village on the south coast of the district of Rethymnon. It is known to individual tourists since some years, but still rather untouched by mass tourism. Around the port and further on eastward along the sandy beach which lines the bay, some smaller hotels and apartment facilities row up. Down by the beach road there are several restaurants and tavernas, kafenions, small supermarkets and some other shops. The town of  Rethymnon on the north coast is 42 kms away.

Immediately in front of the house on the south side, there is a large swimming pool with a shallow section for children and surrounding sun-bathing terrace. Sunshades and deck chairs are free. On both sides as well as behind the house there are old shady trees. Garden furniture are available, and the property also provides enough of room for parking your rented car. There are 4 apartments with separate bedrooms with double beds on the top two floors. Each one has a large living-room with a convertible double sofa, and a sliding door onto a large shaded balcony.
They also have tiled shower bathrooms with WCs, and small kitchenette areas with refrigerator and electric stove. These apartments have either mountain views towards Souda or sea views towards  Plakias Bay. All rooms are equipped with ceiling fans which together with the sea breeze provide comfortable temperatures during the summer. During chilly springtime or autumn nights, the air conditioning units can be switched to heating mode
