Agia Fotia , a settlement 13,5km east of Ierapetra on a gorgeous beach. It is one of the most beautiful spots in the Prefecture in a lush, green valley full of olive and pine trees with a sandy bay. The beach of Agia Fotia is one of the most beautiful in the whole Crete. The combination between the sea and the mountain will amaze you. The beach is been awarded, by the European Community, with the Blue Flag. That means clean water and clean coast. The beach is organized, so there are umbrellas and sun beds which you can rent. Our traditional annual beach volley tournament, in July, attracts more participants and spectators each year.
